William Hurt, Derek Jacobi, Jonny Lee Miller Star in Political Thriller Endgame on PBS

Stage and screen stars William Hurt and Derek Jacobi will be joined by Jonny Lee Miller — who’ll be making his Broadway debut this fall in After Miss Julie — in Endgame, the first entry in PBS’ series Masterpiece contemporary. The movie, which will be hosted by David Tennant, is scheduled to air on PBS stations around the country on October 25, with a limited release in U.S. theaters on October 30.

This political thriller, based on real-life events, centers on the the negotiations that led to the end of apartheid in South Africa and the release of Nelson Mandela. Also in the cast are Chiwetel Ejiofor, who won an Olivier Award for playing the title role in Othello, and Clarke Peters, from television’s The Wire.
