Lynda Gravatt, Saycon Sengbloh, Tracie Thoms Set for Powerhouse’s The House That Will Not Stand

Casting been announced for New York Stage and Film and Vassar College’s Powerhouse Theater semi-staged workshop production of Marcus Gardley’s The House That Will Not Stand, to run July 20-22 under the direction of Marion McClinton.
Set in 1836 New Orleans, the work, loosely adapted from Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba, examines the complex system of common-law marriages between white men and black Creole women.
The cast includes Denise Burse, Harriet D. Foy, Lynda Gravatt, Nikiya Mathis, Dennis Parlato, Saycon Sengbloh, and Tracie Thoms.
