New York City Center Announces 2009-2010 Season

New York City Center has announced programming for its 2009-2010 season, which will kick off with the sixth annual Fall for Dance Festival (September 22-October 3), which will pay tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the Ballets Russes.

Programming will include the previously announced seasons for Manhattan Theatre Club, The Pearl Theatre Company, and City Center Encores!, as well as the previously announced Tanguera –The Tango Musical (October 7-18) and Career Transition for Dancers’ America Dances!, honoring Patrick Swayze (November 2).

Among the other events will be Companhia de Danca Deborah Colker, featuring works by Brazilian artists (October 22-25); Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company (October 29-November 1); Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (December 2-January 3); New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players (January 8-17); New York Flamenco Festival (February 11-14); Kings of the Dance (February 19-21); Paul Taylor Dance (February 24-March 14); and Corella Ballet Castilla Y Leon (March 17-20).
