Paulo Szot, Alexandra Silber, Max Von Essen, and More Join Shirley Jones in Cast of 2013 Irish Rep Gala

The concert will be hosted by Tony Award nominee Tom Hanks.

Tony Award winner Paulo Szot (South Pacific) and Broadway veterans Howard McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera), Alexandra Silber (Master Class), Max Von Essen (Evita), Donna Kane (Meet Me in St. Louis), and Ciarán Sheehan (The Phantom of the Opera) will join the previously announced Shirley Jones, Patrick Cassidy, and Tom Hanks to take part in the Irish Repertory Theatre’s 25th anniversary gala, Something Wonderful! The Songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein. The show will take place on June 10 at the Broadhurst Theatre.

Hosted by Hanks, a 2013 Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee for his performance in the drama Lucky Guy, the concert will feature songs from Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals including Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, and more. Directed by Irish Rep Artistic Director Charlotte Moore, the concert has musical direction by Mark Hartman.

The Irish Rep’s 2013 annual benefit gala will be followed by a dinner with the cast at theater district eatery Sardi’s, across the street from the Broadhurst. For tickets and more information, visit www.irishrep.org.
