Nora Ephron's Lucky Guy Aims for Broadway Run With Tom Hanks

Lucky Guy, a new biodrama about Pulitzer Prize-winning Daily News columnist Mike McAlary by Nora Ephron, is aiming for a Broadway run in 2013, according to reports.

In addition, Oscar winner Tom Hanks is reportedly in negotiations to make his Broadway debut as McAlary and Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe is expected to direct the production

McAlary, who died from colon cancer in 1998, at age 41, won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for his commentary on the Abner Louima case.

Ephron was most recently represented on stage as the co-author of Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She is a noted essayist, author, and filmmaker, whose works include Heartburn and Sleepless in Seattle.
