Jessica Burr, Christine Jones to Be Honored at League of Professional Theatre Women Luncheon

The League of Professional Theatre Women will honor scenic designer Christine Jones and Blessed Unrest artistic director Jessica Burr at the League’s 2011 Awards Luncheon, to be held at Sardi’s Restaurant on Thursday, June 9 at Noon.

Jones, who will receive the Ruth Morley Design Award, received a Tony Award for her scenic design of the musical American Idiot and a Tony nomination for her scenic design of Spring Awakening.

Burr, who will receive the LPTW Lucille Lortel Award and accompanying grant, co-founded Blessed Unrest, an ensemble-based experimental theatre company, in 1999. She has directed numerous works for the company, including the current show, ArtCamp SexyTime FootBall.
