Updated casting has been announced for a reading of Stan Richardson’s Veritas, to be offered at the LGBT Community Center in Greenwich Village on Tuesday, May 25 at 8pm. Ryan J. Davis will direct the performance, which will serve as a benefit for Lambda Legal.

The cast will feature Matt Doyle, Tate Ellington, Eric Nelson, Mitch Dean, Blake Daniel, Matt Steiner, Wayne Wilcox , and Christian Coulson.

Inspired by true events, the play, which will be presented later in the year as part of the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival, focuses on a group of young men at Harvard in 1920 whose promising futures fell prey to the Harvard Secret Court: a furtive gay witch-hunt conducted by the president and deans of the school to expurgate Harvard of all homosexuality.

Lambda Legal is the nation’s oldest and largest legal organization working for the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, and people with HIV/AIDS.
