Casting has been announced for F.J. Hartland's Mother Tongue, to run May 13-23 in the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex. Margarett Perry will direct the production, which, as previously announced, is part of this year's GAYFEST NYC.

Hartland's play focuses on a young painter who finds his life turned upside down by a new lover with a mysterious past and a mother who is pursuing a career as a stand-up comedian. The company will feature Jake Paque (Matt), Kevin Spirtas (Cale), and J.J. Van Name (Bertie).

The creative team will include Michael Hotopp (scenic design), T. Michael Hall (costume design), and Jesse Belsky (lighting design).
