Peggy Herman to Celebrate Release of Herman on Herman CD at Feinstein’s

Feinstein’s is set to present Peggy Herman in a one night concert celebration of the release of her new Herman on Herman CD, May 6 at 7:30pm. Peter Glebo and Tommy Tune will direct. Richard Skipper will co-host the event.

Herman on Herman is Peggy’s tribute to Broadway legend Jerry Herman. With arrangements by Alex Rybeck, Herman on Herman (with a Touch of Merman) gives the Jerry Herman songbook a new spin, lending a fresh take on classic Broadway show tunes. The album features Rybeck on piano, Jered Egan on bass, Rex Benincasa on drums and percussion, and Sean Harkness on guitar.

The one-night concert will feature many of the songs from the show’s Metropolitan Room premiere last May, as well as additional material added in the intervening months. All of the evening’s attendees will receive a complimentary signed copy of the new album.
