Jennifer Lim will receive the inaugural Immigrant Artists and Scholars in New York (IASNY) Trophy for Excellence at the company's New York With An Accent celebration, to be held on Saturday, April 14 from 3pm-6pm at the Nuyorican Poets Café. The prize is given to an inspiring immigrant New Yorker in recognition of his or her achievements.

Lim made her Broadway debut earlier this year in David Henry Hwang's Chinglish. In addition, she has helped develop new works at Lark Play Development Center, Pan Asian Rep, East Coast Artists, Mabou Mines, Reverie Productions, New Dramatists, Ensemble Studio Theater, New Georges, Cherry Lane Theater, Second Generation and Ma-Yi Theater Company.

In addition to the presentation of the tribute to Lim, the event, held in conjunction with Immigrant Heritage Week, will feature performances by artists committed to multicultural dialogue. Among those scheduled to appear are Bogar Alonso, Ondina Frate, Randy Gener, Inma Heredia, Pamela Jackson, Stavri Karamfilov, Jessica Litwak, Aasif Mandvi, Blagovesta Momchedjikova, Christina Quintana, Jelena Stupljanin, Saviana Stanescu, R.E. Toledo, Natasa Trifan, Zishan Ugurlu, Sanda Weigl, and Pia Wilson.

IASNY is an alliance of individuals from the arts world and academia committed to support, nurture and advocate for immigrant voices as a vital and vibrant part of the New York City community.
