On May 1, 2004, 37-year-old actor Tristan Sturrock (Broadway's Brief Encounter) suffered a 10-foot fall that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Now, almost ten years later, Sturrock has fully recovered and is bringing his story to the stage in Mayday Mayday, a solo show that he calls a "love letter to his life and the people who saved it."

Mayday Mayday will run from April 16-May 5 at St. Ann's Warehouse in what will be the show's American premiere. It made its world premiere at the Bristol Old Vic in January 2012 and continued on to a successful UK tour and acclaimed performances at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. During the performance, Sturrock assumes the characters of the individuals who contributed to his recovery including the medic that came to his aid that night, the surgeon that performed his miraculous surgery, and his then five-month-pregnant wife, Katy Carmichael, who also happens to be serving as the show's director.

The production features original music by Pete Judge, Alex Vann, Barney Morse-Brown and Ian Ross (The Wilde Bride), production design by Katy Carmichael and Tristan Sturrock, sound design by Patrick Sturrock and projection design by Brett Harvey. Ruth Shepherd made props and sets.
