On Tuesday, March 20, the Broadway production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical celebrated a year on Broadway at the Palace Theatre.
Australian bakery Pie Face unveiled the new “Priscilla Pink Pie Face Pie,” a raspberry mousse pie with a layer of raspberry coulis dipped in pink glaze, to commemorate the milestone. After the performance, the show awarded the 500,000 audience member with a $500 gift card as well as a Manolo Blahnik designed Priscilla Charm necklace. Also in the house to celebrate were the members of Cheer New York.
The musical is based on the Oscar-winning film and written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, and has been directed by Simon Phillips and has choreography by Ross Coleman. It stars Will Swenson, Tony Sheldon and Nick Adams as a trio of friends on a heart-warming, uplifting road trip of a lifetime in the middle of the Australian outback.
