AUDIO SHARE: Stream Jos Slovick Singing "Make My Heart Go Beat" from New Joe Sterling CD

SimG Records has shared a track from Somewhere in My Mind: The Songs of Joe Sterling — Jos Slovick’s rendition of “Make My Heart Go Beat” — for streaming on TheaterMania.com. The album will be released on March 26.

The 13-track disc features songs with music and lyrics by Sterling, as well as some of his collaborations with lyricist Robert Gould. Among the other artists featured on the disc are Adam Bayiou, Jonathan Eio, Ross Hunter, Ashleigh Jones, Craig Mather, Rhiannon Sarah Porter, and Jack Shalloo.

In a recent conversation about the song he’s shared with TM, Sterling has said “‘Make My Heart Go Beat’ was written to make you smile! I wanted to write a song that might help you to look on the bright side when things haven’t gone the way you planned. Maybe things have ended with somebody that made you happy, but the song is about being determined that you’ll find that happiness again with somebody else, or perhaps even with that same person later on in life. And of course the wonderful voice of Jos Slovick on the track will never fail to make you smile! ”

Among Sterling and Gould’s other works are Roundabout. In addition, Gould has written such musicals as My Land’s Shore (with Christopher J. Orton), and Alone, a collaboration with Ty Kroll.
