John Tartaglia’s Imaginocean Musical Announces Additional Casting

Additional casting has been announced for John Tartaglia‘s Imaginocean will play at New World Stages, beginning on March 17 in anticipation of a March 31 opening. Donna Drake will direct and choreograph the production.

Conceived and written by Tartaglia, with music by William Wade, the musical follows the adventure of a group of fish friends, who uncover a map which leads them to ultimately uncover the treasure of each other’s friendship. The puppets for the piece are designed by The Puppet Kitchen; the set is by Robert Kovach.

The company will feature Ryan Dillon (Dorsel), Stacey Weingarten (Bubbles), James W. Wojtal, Jr. (Tank), Lara Maclean, Carole D’agostino, Nate Begle, Jonathan Carlucci, and Brian T. Carson

Tartaglia also created the Emmy-nominated Johnny and the Sprites. On Broadway, he earned a Tony nomination for his performance in Avenue Q. Among his other credits are Shrek The Musical and Beauty and the Beast. In addition, he appeared for 10 seasons on Sesame Street.
