Jeff Daniels, Philip Glass, Duncan Sheik, et al. to Play NYC’s City Winery

Broadway star Jeff Daniels, legendary composer Philip Glass, and Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik are among the artists who will appear in the coming weeks at City Winery (155 Varick Street).

Daniels, who is currently appearing in Yasmina Reza’s God of Carnage, will perform on April 20, May 18, and June 22. Glass, whose works include Einstein on the Beach, will be in residence on Sundays, March 15, 22, 29, and April 5, along with a series of special guests including Patti Smith. Sheik, who won the Tony for Spring Awakening, will perform songs from his new CD Whisper House with special guest Lauren Pritchard on Monday, March 16. Other upcoming acts include rock legend Marianne Faithfull (March 27-28), singer Issa (April 23), and singer-songwriter Marc Cohn (May 5).
