Johanna Day and Tim Hopper join the previously announced F. Murray Abraham, J.R. Horne, Jordan Lage, Mark Linn-Baker, Mary McCann, Del Pentecost, and Joey Slotnick in Ethan Coen’s trio of short plays, Almost an Evening, to run March 20-June 1 at The Bleecker Street Theatre, with an opening set for April 2. The show will be directed by Neil Pepe.

Almost An Evening, first seen this year at Atlantic Stage 2, consists of the plays Waiting, Four Benches, and Debate. The creative team includes Riccardo Hernandez (sets), Ilona Somogyi (costumes), Donald Holder (lighting), and Eric Shim (sound).

Day recently starred in Edward Albee’s Peter and Jerry and was nominated for a Tony for Proof. Hopper has appeared on Broadway in Present Laughter, won an Obie for More Stately Mansions, and starred on the HBO series Oz.

Coen is best-known as an Oscar-winning director and screenwriter — with his brother Joel — of such films as Fargo, Barton Fink, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?. The pair recently won the Academy Award and many other honors for their film No Country for Old Men.
