Chalfant, Leonard, Seldes, Weaver, et al. Will Appear at Symphony Space in April

Kathleen Chalfant, Oskar Eustis, Arthur French, Robert Sean Leonard, Marian Seldes, John Shea, and Sigourney Weaver are among the celebrities scheduled to appear at Symphony Space in April.

Chalfant, Eustis, and Shea will participate in the “Selected Shorts” series on April 5, reading short stories by Ann Beattie, Tom Bissell, and Gloria DeVidas Kirchmeier; French, Leonard, and Seldes will participate in April 19 readings of work by Chinua Achebe, Etgar Keret, and Dubravka Ugresic. Weaver will participate in “A Celebration of Jane Austen,” to be held on April 12.

Other Symphony Space events of interest next month include the discussion “Conversations with Shakespeare: When Is War Justified?” (April 3); a performance of the revue Oh, Doctor! as part of the “Thalia Follies” series (April 17); Paradigm, an evening of dance featuring such greats as Hope Clarke, Carmen de Lavallade, Valda Setterfield, and Martine van Hamel (April 20-22); The Shakespeare Society’s “Shakespeare Birthday Marathon” (April 23); and the Melting Pot Theatre’s concert presentation of the new musical In This House (April 26-28).
