On Thursday, February 17, the cast of Broadway’s
Anything Goes met with members of the press for a sneak peak at pieces of the upcoming revival. Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall is directing and choreographing the production, which will begin previews on March 10 with an official opening on April 7.
In the musical, the S.S. American heads out to sea, and etiquette and convention head out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love. The show features a score by Cole Porter, original book by P.G. Wodehouse & Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse, and a new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman.
Sutton Foster stars as Reno Sweeney, and the principal cast also includes Joel Grey as Moonface Martin, Colin Donnell as Billy Crocker, Adam Godley as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Laura Osnes as Hope Harcourt, Jessica Stone as Erma, Walter Charles as Captain, Robert Creighton as Purser, Andrew Cao as Luke, Raymond J. Lee as John, John McMartin as Elisha Whitney, and Jessica Walter as Evangeline Harcourt.
