Sutton Foster's big break came when, during rehearsals for the out-of-town try out of Thoroughly Modern Millie, she was asked to take over the title role. She won both the Tony and Drama Desk Award for best actress in a musical for her portrayal of Millie Dillmount. Since then she has appeared on Broadway in Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone, Young Frankenstein, and, most recently, aas Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical. She received her second career Tony Award for her performance as Reno Sweeney in the Broadway revival of Anything Goes. She is the sister of Broadway actor Hunter Foster.
