Actress Lindsay Thomas Dies at 31

Lindsay Thomas, whose stage credits include the Broadway, national tour, and Canadian productions of the hit musical Hairspray, died Wednesday, February 3 of cancer. She was 31.

Thomas worked frequently at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, where she played
Ado Annie in Oklahoma! Her other Stratford credits included My One and Only, The Music Man, Fuente Ovejuna, Oliver! and Don Juan.

She also played Francine in the original Toronto production of Jersey Boys, and appeared in Anne of Green Gables, Somewhere in the World, Grease, Aladdin, The Boy Friend, City of Angels, and The Crucible.

She is survived by her partner, actor Gareth Potter, her parents, Marilyn and Derek Thomas, and her brother, Gareth Thomas.
