Charles Fuller, Leslie Lee, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and More Set for In Conversation Talks at Macy’s

Artists from Signature Theatre Company’s 2008-2009 season celebrating the Negro Ensemble Company will participate in the program, In Conversation: Signature Theatre Company, to be held at Macy’s Herald Square and Brooklyn stores. The talks are part of a month-long series of activities and special events for Black History Month, and are free and open to the public.

On Thursday, February 12 at 12:30 pm, Macy’s Brooklyn will host a panel that includes NEC co-founder and Day of Absence author/director Douglas Turner Ward, The First Breeze of Summer playwright Leslie Lee, Zooman and the Sign director Stephen McKinley Henderson, First Breeze actress Marva Hicks, and Zooman actor Amari Cheatom.

On Wednesday, February 25 at 6:00 pm, Macy’s Herald Square will host a panel including Leslie Lee, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Zooman playwright Charles Fuller.

Macy’s will also be displaying photos and costumes from Signature’s 2008-09 productions in a store window. Zooman and the Sign will begin performances at Signature’s Peter Orton Space on March 3, with an opening set for March 24.
