In the Recording Studio With Jefferson Mays, Bryce Pinkham, and the Cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder

The new Broadway musical also stars Lisa O’Hare and Lauren Worsham.

Jefferson Mays, Bryce Pinkham, and the company of Broadway's A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder headed into the recording studio on Monday, January 13, to lay down tracks for the new musical's upcoming original cast recording. Ghostlight Records will release the album, preserving Steven Lutvak and Robert L. Freedman's score, later this year.

Joining Mays and Pinkham in the cast are Lisa O'Hare, Lauren Worsham, Pamela Bob, Joanna Glushak, Eddie Korbich, Jeff Kready, Mark Ledbetter, Jennifer Smith, Price Waldman, Catherine Walker, and Jane Carr. The musical tells the story of Monty Navarro (Pinkham), who has received the news that he is descended from a noble family and could become the next Earl of Highhurst. There are only eight issues standing in his way: the other heirs (all played by Mays) who precede him in line for the title. What does Monty choose to do? Eliminate them, of course.

The musical comedy opened at the Walter Kerr Theater on November 17, 2013.
