Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone (Gypsy, Evita) celebrated the release of her new album, Far Away Places, with a performance and CD signing at the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble on Wednesday, January 16. The CD, which is a live recording of her acclaimed concert at the Broadway nightclub 54 Below. The album is produced in collaboration with the venue and Broadway Records.

LuPone, joined by musical director Joseph Thalken, serenaded the enthusiastic, standing room only B&N crowd with a few songs from the new disc, including Brecht and Weill's "Bilbao Song," Stephen Sondheim's "By the Sea," and the Marguerite Monnot/Edith Piaf chanson, "Hymn to Love."
