Woody Allen, Pedro Almodovar, Antonio Banderas Receive Goya Award Nominations

Pedro Almodovar’s film The Skin I Live In has received 16 nomination for the XXVI Goya Awards — Spain’s version of the Academy Awards — including one for lead actor Antonio Banderas, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The awards will be presented on February 19.


Other notable nominees include Woody Allen for the script of Midnight in Paris, actress Salma Hayek for As Luck Would Have It, and director Mateo Gil for Blackthorn.


Almodovar was nominated for both his script and his screenplay. Additional nominees for The Skin I Live In include actors Elena Anaya, Jan Cornet, and Bianca Suarez, and composer Alberto Iglesias.
