Inspired by Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, the play is written by Jenny Connell and Rubén Polendo, with direction by Polendo. The piece incorporates abstractions of musical theater, Arabic clowning, and Peking opera to create a ferocious comedy about a war-torn landscape populated by characters on bicycles, all desperate to survive.

The creative team will include Justin Nestor (set design), Kate Ashton (lighting design), Candida K. Nichols (costume design), and Adam Cochran (original compositions and live music).
