Brandon J. Dirden to Star in Ruben Santiago-Hudson's Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine

Merritt Janson also leads the cast of the production.

Brandon J. Dirden (All the Way) and Merritt Janson (Tamburlaine) will star in Ruben Santiago-Hudson's Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine, which the playwright will direct at Two River Theater beginning April 11. The run concludes on May 3 after opening on April 17.

Dirden plays Zeke, a highly educated once-homeless man, with Janson as Judith, a writer who decides that Zeke's life will make a great feature for The New York Times Magazine. The company also includes Tony Award winner Roger Robinson (Joe Turner's Come and Gone) as Zebedee, a recluse who has lived for 40 years under Grand Central Station, Roslyn Ruff (All the Way) as Judith's friend Janecee, and Andrew Hovelson (Lucky Guy) as Randall, Judith's boyfriend.

The creative team for Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine includes scenic designer Michael Carnahan, costume designer Karen Perry, lighting designer Driscoll Otto, and sound designer Robert Kaplowitz. The production will feature original music by Bill Sims Jr. The fight director is Thomas Schall.
