George C. Wolfe Awarded McCarter Theatre’s Sallie Goodman Prize

Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe has been awarded the inaugural Sallie Goodman Prize from the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey. As its first recipient, Wolfe will be awarded $20,000 and will come to McCarter in conjunction with a specific project of his choosing, which will mark his McCarter Theatre debut.

Wolfe’s many directorial credits include Caroline or Change, Jelly’s Last Jam, Angels in America, Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk, Topdog/Underdog, Twilight: Los Angeles, Elaine Stritch At Liberty, The Wild Party, and Mother Courage and Her Children.

Wolfe was selected by a panel of judges that included Edward Albee, Roger S. Berlind, Emily Mann, and Mara Isaacs.
