Ben Vereen to Launch Solo Show Tour in December

Tony Award winner Ben Vereen has announced dates for a national tour of his solo show.

The tour will begin with performances at Catalina Jazz Club in Los Angeles, December 17-18. Vereen’s other scheduled appearances include the grand opening of the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe, Vermont (December 27), New York City’s Town Hall (February 18), the Peace Center for the Performing Arts in Greenville, South Carolina (March 4), the Francis Winspear Centre for Music in Edmonton, Alberta (March 18-19), the Lyric Theatre in Stuart, Florida (April 2), the Topeka Performing Arts Center in Kansas (April 23), the Irvington Town Hall Theatre in New York (May 1), and the Queensboro Performing Arts Center in Bayside, New York (May 15).

Vereen earned a Tony Award for his performance in Pippin. Among his other Broadway credits are Wicked, Fosse, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Jelly’s Last Jam, Grind, and I’m Not Rappaport. He recently starred in Fetch Clay, Make Man, directed by Des McAnuff, at the McCarter Theatre and Hartford Stage.

His many film and television credits include How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy, Roots, Star Trek, and All That Jazz.
