Stephen Colbert, Larry David, Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais and Sarah Silverman are among the artists scheduled to participate in Comedy Central’s Night Of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert For Autism Education, according to a report in The New York Times. Jon Stewart will host the event, which is scheduled for broadcast on the cable channel on October 21.

The show will include a comedy concert that will be taped at the Beacon Theatre. Steve Carell, Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, Joel McHale, John Oliver, Chris Rock and Triumph The Insult Comic Dog are all scheduled to appear, as are soul-funk ensemble Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, which will serve as the house band. Interspersed with the tape of the concert, will be live appearances from Los Angeles.

In addition, there will be a phone bank for donations, also in L.A., that will be manned by celebrities such as Rob Coddry, Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Jim Parsons, Sofia Vergara, and Rainn Wilson.

The funds raised during the special will help ease the shortage of schools and education programs for autistic children and adults.
