Hal Holbrook, Joan Rivers, Rita Rudner, et al. Set for Balboa Theatre’s 2010-2011 Season

The Balboa Theatre has announced its 2010-2011 season.

Among the individual performance highlights of the venue’s programming are engagements of An Evening With Joan Rivers (January 15), An Evening With Rita Rudner (March 3), and Hal Holbrook in Mark Twain Tonight! (March 19).

Dance offerings at the Balboa will include Bombay Bellywood (October 3), a celebration of bellydancing; and the Russian National Ballet, which will offer Romeo and Juliet and Cinderella (February 4-5).

Music performances will include the marching band spectacle Drumline Live (October 13), guitarists Tommy Emmanuel (February 15) and Joe Bonamassa (February 18), and Opole, Philharmonic of Poland (March 13), featuring violinist Marta Kowalczyk and soprano Iwona Sobotka. In addition, the theater will host a one-night only performance of Bud Forrest’s swing revue In the Mood (February 19).
