Mel Brooks, Dick Cavett Set for September 9 HBO Special

Broadway veterans and entertainment legends Mel Brooks and Dick Cavett will be featured in the HBO special Mel Brooks and Dick Cavett Together Again, to premiere on Friday, September 9 at 9pm (ET/PT).

The two-hour show will feature the two men sharing anecdotes about their careers and lives in front of a live audience.

Brooks won an Academy Award for his screenplay for the film The Producers and Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score for the musical it inspired. His other Broadway credits include Young Frankenstein, All American, and Shinbone Alley. Among his many other films are The History of the World Part 1, High Anxiety, Spaceball, and Blazing Saddles.


Cavett has appeared on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show, Into the Woods, and Butley. He is perhaps best known for his work as a talkshow host.
