Megan Hilty, Patrick Stewart, et al. to Discuss Dorothy of Oz Film at Comic Con

Stage veterans Patrick Stewart and Megan Hilty, along with composer, orchestrator, and arranger Deborah Lurie, will discuss their work in the forthcoming 3D animated musical movie Dorothy of Oz during the Further over the Rainbow: A First Look at Dorothy of Oz session at Comic Con in San Diego, according to a report on Billboard.com. The session will also feature clips from the film and selections from the soundtrack.


The film centers on the adventures that Dorothy Gale has subsequent to her first visit to the Land of Oz. As previously announced, the film will also feature the voice of stage veteran Lea Michele (in the title role), as well as Kelsey Grammer, Hugh Dancy, Martin Short, and Oliver Platt. A release date will be announced in the near future.

The movie features songs by Bryan Adams, working with Jim Vallance. In addition, Tift Merrit Mike Himelstein, and Jim Dooley are also contributing to the film’s score.
