Danny Glover, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kiefer Sutherland Set for FOX’s Touch

Stage veterans Danny Glover and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will join the previously announced Kiefer Sutherland in FOX’s Touch, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series has been created by Tim Kring, who has also written the script for the pilot.

The show will center on a father (Sutherland) and his autistic and mute son (to be played by David Mazouz) who can predict events before they happen. Glover will play a professor who works with gifted children, and Mbatha-Raw will play a social worker.

Glover played Willie in the 1982 Broadway production of Athol Fugard’s Master Harold… and the Boys, and Sam in the show’s 2003 Broadway revival and played this latter role in a big-screen adaptation of the play. He is primarily known for his film and television work, including Places in the Heart, Boesman & Lena, Lethal Weapon, and Brothers & Sisters.

Mbatha-Raw appeared opposite Jude Law in the Broadway produciton of Hamlet and appeared on NBC’s Undercovers.
