Sharon Lawrence to Guest Star on TNT’s RIzzoli & Isles

Stage and television star Sharon Lawrence will guest star on the third season of TNT’s drama Rizzoli & Isles, as the biological mother of Maura (played by Sasha Alexander), according to TVGuide.com

Lawrence won a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award last night for her work in Orson’s Shadow. Her many New York stage credits include Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, and Love, Loss, and What I Wore.

She received three Emmy Award nominations for her work as Sylvia Costas on ABC’s NYPD Blue and a separate nomination for her guest-starring role on Grey’s Anatomy. Her many other television credits include One Tree Hill, Drop Dead Diva, Ladies Man, Desperate Housewives, Hidden Palms, and Privileged.

The series also stars Angie Harmon and Jordan Bridges.
