Broadway veterans Eddie Izzard and John Turturro will voice new characters in the animated 3-D film Cars 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter. John Lasseter is directing the movie, which will officially open on June 24.

Izzard will voice Miles Axlerod, a former oil baron who sold off his fortune, converted himself into an electric vehicle, and dedicated himself to finding the renewable, clean-burning energy source of the future. The actor was recently seen on Broadway in David Mamet’s Race. He received a Tony Award nomination for the Roundabout Theatre’s revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, and his other stage credits include Lenny and Mamet’s The Cryptogram.

Turturro is set to play an Italian racecar, Francesco Bernoulli. He has starred on Broadway in Life x 3 and additional stage credits include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Endgame, Italian American Reconciliation, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, and Souls of Naples.
