PHOTO FLASH: Carol Channing Receives Star at Palm Springs Walk of Stars

Three-time Tony Award winner Carol Channing received a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, located in front of the Azul restaurant and Georgies Alibi in Palm Springs, California, on Saturday, October 2.

The hour long star installation ceremony attracted over 100 fans, including local dignitaries and celebrities such as award-winning actress Margaret O’Brien, who spoke in tribute to the Broadway legend.

Channing won the Tony Award for her performance in Hello, Dolly! 1964, as well as a special Tony in 1968 and a third Tony for Lifetime Achievement in 1995. Her Broadway credits also include The Vamp, Lend an Ear, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She received an Oscar nomination for Thoroughly Modern Millie.
