Beau Bridges To Receive Theatre West’s Betty Garrett Lifetime Achievement Award

Stage and screen veteran Beau Bridges will receive the Betty Garrett Lifetime Achievement Award from Theatre West at the organization’s 50th anniversary gala, to be held Thursday, September 13.

Named for the late actress who helped found the company, the actor will be presented the award with tributes by Norma Rae co-star Sally Field and TV producer Norman Lear.

With daughter Emily, Bridges appeared in Theatre West’s Acting –The First Six Lessons, which the pair co-wrote. His recently appeared on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and starred at the Hollywood Bowl in Guys and Dolls. His films include The Descendants, The Fabulous Baker Boys, and many others.
