Dane Whitlock’s Are You There God? It’s Me, Karen Carpenter is set to play a limited engagement at the Cavern Club Theatre, August 17-24. Whitlock will direct.
Are You There God? It’s Me, Karen Carpenter follows Margaret as she moves to New Jersey, falls in love with the boy next door, enters sixth grade, joins an all-girl group, and obsesses about bras – all while singing the hits of the Carpenters.
The cast is lead by Carey Peters, Jennifer Blake, and Drew Droege and also features Amy Procacci, Libby Baker, Rae Dawn Hadinger, Joe Donohoe, Brad Griffith, and Matthew Herrmann.
