Charles Shaughnessy to Guest Star on TV Land’s Fran Drescher Comedy, Happily Divorced

Charles Shaughnessy will guest star on the Season 1 finale of TV Land’s Happily Divorced, according to TVGuide.com.

The show stars Fran Drescher, and is based on the actress’ real-life former marriage and subsequent divorce. It focuses on a woman who re-enters the dating scene after learning her husband is gay. It also features Tichina Arnold, John Michael Higgins, Rita Moreno, and Robert Walden.

Shaughnessy will be playing a man that both Fran and her ex-husband (played by Higgins) want to date. The actor previously co-starred with Drescher on the CBS sitcom The Nanny, with additional TV credits including Days of Our Lives and Mad Men.

Among his recent stage credits are North Shore Music Theater’s production of My Fair Lady earlier this summer and Ogunquit Playhouse’s production of Monty Python’s Spamalot last summer.
