America Ferrera, Julia Stiles Set for It’s a Disaster Movie

Stage and screen stars America Ferrera and Julia Stiles will co-star in the new movie It’s a Disaster, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Todd Berger is writing the script for the film and will direct the project.

The story will center on four couples who meet for Sunday brunch only to find they are stuck in a house together as the world may be about to end.

The cast will also feature Berger, along with Kevin M. Brennan, Jeff Grace, and Blaise Miller.

Stiles’ stage credits include Oleanna on Broadway and in the West End, as well as Twelfth Night, Fran’s Bed, and The Vagina Monologues. She is a 2011 Emmy Award nominee for her work on Showtime’s Dexter, and her many films include 10 Things I Hate About You, Save the Last Dance, State and Main, and Edmond.

Ferrera appeared Off-Broadway in Dog Sees God. She is best known for her Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Betty Suarez on ABC’s Ugly Betty.
