Jennifer Hudson to Guest Star on NBC’s Smash

Oscar and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will guest star for a multi-episode arc on the new seasn of the hit NBC drama, Smash. She will play Veronica Moore, a Tony Award-winning star.

Hudson appeared on stage in the Actors Fund concert of Hair. She won the Oscar for Dreamgirls and her other films include Sex and the City and The Secret Life of Bees. She first came to fame on FOX’s American Idol.

The show, which focuses on the making of a Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe, stars Debra Messing, Jack Davenport, Megan Hilty, Katharine McPhee, Anjelica Huston, Jeremy Jordan, and 2012 Tony Award winner Christian Borle.
