Leonard Foglia will direct the world premiere musical Laughing Matters, featuring book and lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart, with music by Mike Stoller and Artie Butler. The show will debut at Pasadena Playhouse November 4-December 13, with an opening set for November 13.

The new musical comedy is about three generations of Jewish women and the history, humor, and music that binds them together. It is the final production in Pasadena Playhouse's "Women: The Heart and Soul of the Theatre" series, celebrating stories by and about women.

Foglia's Broadway directing credits include Thurgood, On Golden Pond, Wait Until Dark, and Master Class.
