South Coast Repertory has announced the works that will be part of its 14th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival, to be offered April 29-May 1.

Featured in the Festival will be performances of the full productions of Lauren Gunderson’s Silent Sky, which will be concluding its run on the Segerstrom Stage, and of Itamar Moses’ Completeness, which will be mid-run on the company’s Julianne Argyros Stage.

In addition, the Festival will feature readings of Steven Drukman’s The Prince of Atlantis, about an imprisoned man coping with the sudden appearance of the son he gave up for adoption 30 years earlier; Catherine Trieschmann’s How the World Began, which explores a modern-day dust-up over evolution in a Midwestern school; Meg Miroshnik’s The Droll, which focuses on a ragtag theater troupe attempting to organize a secret performance of Hamlet in a world in which theatre has been outlawed; Sharr White’s Annapurna, which centers on the relationship between a dying, reclusive poet and his ex-wife; and Octavio Solis and Adam Gwon’s new musical Cloudlands, about family secrets and deadly desires.
