Mad Men‘s Jared Harris, Stephen Fry Join Sherlock Holmes 2 Film

Mad Men star Jared Haris and Stephen Fry have joined the cast of the film Sherlock Holmes 2 according to published reports.

The film, to be directed by Guy Ritchie, will star Robert Downey, Jr., Jude Law, and Noomi Rapace. It is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2011.

Harris, who will play Professor Moriarty, has appeared Off-Broadway in Humble Boy, More Lies About Jerzy, and Ecstasy. He currently plays Lane Pryce on AMC’s Mad Men.

Fry, who wil play Mycroft Holmes, is well known as part of the act Fry and Laurie, and has frequently appeared on the London stage. His many film and television credits include Wilde, Blackadder, Kingdom, QI, Stephen Fry in America and Bones.
