Gemma Arterton, Stephen Dillane, Anastasia Hille, et al. Set for Almeida Theatre’s The Master Builder

Full casting is set for the Almeida Theatre’s prodcution of Henrik Ibsen’s The Master Builder, to run November 12-January 8, according to Whatsonstage.com Travis Preston will direct the production. which features a translation by Kenneth McLeish,

The play focuses on an architect, reaching the end of his life, who finds himself inspired by a visit from a young woman from his past. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

In addition to previously announced stars Gemma Arterton and Stephen Dillane as Halvard Solness and Hilde Wangel, the cast will include Anastasia Hille (Aline Solness), Jack Shepherd (Doctor Herdal), John Light (Ragnar Brovik), Patrick Godfrey (Knut Brovik), and Emma Hamilton (Kaja Fosli).

Arterton appeared in the West End earlier this year in The Little Dog Laughed. Among her film credits are St. Trinian’s, Quantum of Solace and Clash of the Titans. Dillane won a Tony Award for the revival of Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing, and was recently seen in The Bridge Project’s The Tempest and As You Like It. He received an Emmy Award nomination for his work in HBO’s John Adams.

The creative team will include Vicki Mortimer (production design), Paul Pyant (lighting design), and John Leonard (sound design).
