Trevor Nunn has been appointed as a visiting professor at St. Catherine’s College at Oxford, according to a report in The New York Times. He will begin serving the year-long post, which has the official title of the Cameron Mackintosh Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theater, in October.

Nunn, a former artistic director of both the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, is currently represented on Broadway with the revival of A Little Night Music and in London with a revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love, as well as the original production of Les Miserables, playing at the Queen’s Theatre.
