Landor Theatre Cancels Moby Dick Musical

| London |

April 20, 2011

The Landor Theatre production of Robert Longden and Hereward Kaye’s musical version of Herman Meville’s Moby Dick has been canceled due to funding issues, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. As previously reported, Andrew Wright was to have directed and choreographed the production.

The show, a mix of camp, music hall-style double entendres, imagines that the students and faculty of an all-girls school work to save the institution from bankruptcy by performing the classic novel in the school’s swimming pool. The show was to have starred Debbie Kurup and Sarah Lark.
