Imelda Staunton-Led Gypsy Now Streaming on BroadwayHD

The West End revival can now play in your own living room.

BroadwayHD, an on-demand streaming service for theatrical productions, is now streaming the latest West End revival of Gypsy, starring Imelda Staunton as Momma Rose. The production, which opened at the Savoy Theatre in London’s West End on April 15, 2015, earned eight Olivier Award nominations including Best Musical Revival and Best Actress in a Musical (Staunton).

Gypsy is available exclusively on BroadwayHD.com now through May 31. In addition to Staunton, the acclaimed revival starred Lara Pulver (Louise), Dan Burton (Tulsa), and Peter Davison (Herbie), with direction by Jonathan Kent, all of whom were honored with Olivier nominations for their performances.

The cast also featured Gemma Sutton as June, along with Jack Chissick, Anita Louise Combe, Harry Dickman, Roger Dipper, Louise Gold, Lauren Hall, Clare Halse, Billy Hartman, Tom Hodgkins, Kieran Jae, Julie Legrand, Danielle Morris, Damien Poole, Lucinda Shaw, Luke Street, Natalie Woods, Philip Catchpole, Liz Ewing, Lauren Ingram, and Tom Murphy.

The classic Jule Styne, Arthur Laurents, and Stephen Sondheim musical, rumored for another New York run, was last seen on Broadway in 2008 starring Patti LuPone, who earned a Tony Award for her portrayal of Momma Rose.
