Vanessa Redgrave to Be Guest Director at 2012 Brighton Festival

Vanessa Redgrave has been named as the Guest Director for the 2012 Brighton Festival, to take place from May 5-27, 2012.

The three-week event is England’s most established mixed arts Festival, and will include classical music, theatre, contemporary dance, debates, visual art, and film.

Redgrave won a Tony Award for her performance in the 2003 revival of Long Day’s Journey Into Night, and was Tony-nominated for her work in The Year of Magical Thinking in 2007. She is currently starring in a West End production of Driving Miss Daisy, which she also performed on Broadway. Redgrave has been Oscar-nominated six times, and won for her supporting role in Julia.
