Simon Bent’s Prick Up Your Ears, which explores the private life of playwright Joe Orton and his lover Kenneth Halliwell, will play its final performance at the West End Comedy Theatre on November 15. The production had originally been booking through December 6.

Prick Up Your Ears began previews September 17. After Matt Lucas, who played Halliwell, withdrew from the production soon after the official opening, his understudy, Michael Chadwick, took on the role before Con O’Neill joined Chris New, playing Orton, and Gwen Taylor (Mrs Corden) on October 22.

The production is directed by Daniel Kramer. The creative team includes Peter McKintosh (scenic design), Peter Mumford (lighting design), and Gareth Owen (sound design).
